Psychological testing is a comprehensive evaluation procedure that measures and identifies important information about an individual’s current level of functioning, underlying cognitive or learning issues, strengths and weaknesses, and identifies risk factors. Testing can help you maximize your success in treatment by helping you understand the relationship between your emotions, behaviors, thoughts, and personality. Services include:
The client then completes the testing battery, taking between 2-5 hours. Clients with longer testing batteries can complete this over the course of two days. On the final session, the client and family receive the results and interpretation of the testing, as well as recommendations for treatment, referrals, and time to ask questions. Results include a written report of all findings, with explanations of the tests used and the results, a psychosocial history, a summary and diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment. All information provided in the psychological testing is strictly confidential and subject to HIPAA.
