Karen brings a diverse background to her therapy practice in Mental Health. She achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Upon completion, she worked 12 years in the Criminal Justice System with delinquent youth and their families in the home and/or in a Court ordered residential setting.
Karen achieved her Master in Social Work at Indiana University of South Bend. Since then she has worked over 10 years in Mental Health as a Clinician serving young children, adolescents, teens, adults, couples, families and the elderly with various mental health needs. Her Clinical skills have originated from working in several Mental Health settings such as, residential placement, home-based, outpatient treatment, and inpatient psychiatric care conducting individual, group, family and couples therapy. Karen pulls from a variety of evidenced-based therapy models to utilize her skills when working with Mood disorders, Trauma related Disorders, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Personality Disorders, Crisis Intervention and Sexual abuse and maladaptive behaviors.
