Alex is a licensed counselor, husband and father of two, offering a proven history of effective, evidenced-based therapeutic care. Alex has nine years of clinical experience, working to serve the needs of individuals in various settings, including private practice, community outpatient services, intensive youth rehabilitation, hospital chaplaincy and collegiate sport performance.
Alex values serving adolescents and adults. He appreciates the process associated with caring for individuals, couples and families. Alex is particularly passionate about supporting and collaborating with those who are journeying through a challenging situation, grieving a loss, experiencing conflict and or facing a significant decision.
Alex graduated from Ball State University in 2017 with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and an M.A. in Physical Education, with a concentration in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Alex also graduated from Butler University in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Alex is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Alex utilizes a combination of evidence-based CBT, positive psychology and motivational interviewing to promote and help clients sustain valuable change. He has also received specialized training in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Alex also finds great value in respectfully integrating religious and spiritual elements of one’s life when applicable.
